She seems superficial because she doesn't let herself go all out.. she keeps most of her real way of being under wraps..choosing to opt for a silly-acting, blonde, semi-plastic girl to not have to deal with any signs of possible rejection... Anyway, that's my opinion. And that's what I see in her. I think she is actually not the way she seems at all, in reality she's just insecure...about a lot.. so it only seems that she's naturally this way, but it's only her insecurity you see [which she doesn't want/like to admit of course..].
